a warmhearted yogini with a gentle touch and sparkles of wisdom
I am passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga to reduce stress, improve strength, flexibility and health. My specialities include Restorative Yoga, Therapeutic yoga, Yoga Nidra and Prenatal and Mama Baby Yoga.
My personal practice spans nearly 40 years. Born in Australia, stayed a while in London and moved to Sweden where I’ve been teaching yoga full time for the last 12 years.
I am a certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT). I have over 1000 hours of different yoga teacher trainings with my roots in Tradition Shivananda Hatha Yoga.
I coordinated and mentored the Level 1 200 hour Teacher Training and the 800 hour Yoga Therapy Education at Urban Om Center for Yoga and Meditation in Stockholm 2016-2020. I continue as faculty on both. I teach primarily at my yoga studio in Örbyhus - Studio Lyscraft - and at Urban Om in Stockholm. I teach in both English and Swedish.
For my classes in prenatal and mama baby yoga I’m greatly inspired by and train with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli (author of Yoga Shakti) since 2009.
I'm a certified doula, supporting and helping mothers to be in their most exciting but sometimes vulnerable time.

Yoga is a Sanskrit word that means union. Union of mind, body and spirit.
The definition of yoga encompasses a variety of practices which may include postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), meditation, mantras, lifestyle changes (eg diet, sleep, hygiene), spiritual beliefs, and/or rituals.
There are several types of yoga and many disciplines within the practice.
It is an exercise that can be done by anyone who wants to do it.
Yoga has many benefits and a regular practice can lead to:
Hatha yoga, also known as ”classic yoga”, focuses on combining asanas (yoga poses) and pranayama (breathing exercises).
The word Hatha comes from ”ha” which represents the sun, and ”tha” which represents the moon. Together they represent a sort of ”balance of the opposites”.
Hatha yoga is the basis for most other styles of yoga, such as Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Iyengar and Poweryoga, all with different style and tempo.
In Hatha yoga we want to create inner balance and reach the mind by excercising the body.
